Caley Rose: How Jumping Off a Cliff Led Her to Launch Her Singing Career and Empower Students Through Music
Sometimes taking a leap of faith (literally) can come from a life-altering experience that leads us to rethink our direction in life and reprioritize what we know we are meant to do. After today’s guest went cliff jumping, she was hit with the realization that she has one life so she may as well live the life she’s always wanted. This week on Journeys Through Change (formerly known as Go Go Bistro), my guest Caley Rose and I are talking about how jumping off a cliff led her to launch her singing career and empower students through music.
5 years ago, Caley Rose was doing voice over work when she decided to take a trip to NZ. After an epic cliff dive in Queenstown, she came home with a new perspective on life. She had taken her first leap - and now she knew it was time to take her second - to pursue a career as a professional singer and songwriter. She signed up for songwriting school in LA and never looked back. As a result of that life-changing step, Caley has become a billboard charting artist and musical mindset advocate who has been featured on Top 40 radio, TV, commercials, and film. Using her experience of being bullied in middle school to fuel her, Caley created her Music with a Message program to bring confidence tools into schools by using the power of music and regularly partners with women’s and children’s charities across the country to share her methodology. She is truly an inspiration to us all.
In this episode, Caley Rose and I discuss:
- The literal leap of faith Caley took toward following her dreams.
- The pivotal milestones that helped Caley break into her career in singing and songwriting and find a community of like-minded individuals.
- How Caley uses songwriting to tell her story and help students combat bullying and build confidence.
- Taking imperfect action toward your dreams.
- Pausing to celebrate your milestones before proceeding forward.
Someone out there is living the life of your dreams so I dare you to ask yourself, ‘Why not me?’
